BRMC - Glasgow QMU 27th Jan 2002

After braving the pouring rain and looming gales it was clear to see who a large portion of the capacity crowd at the QM had come to see. Black rebel Motorcycle Club had come to town and expectations were high.The assembled throng who filled the hall after the first interval were not to be disappointed either.In a blast of white light and smoke BRMC took to the stage and powered their way through Red Eyes and Tears before breaking into the current single Love Burns which brought the first big response of the night.the band performed an accomplished set with shared vocal duties coming from founder members Robert Turner and Peter Hayes.Highlights of the set included Spread Your Love which should surely be a future single and the anthemic Punk song(Whatever Happened to my Rock and Roll) which brought the biggest cheer of the night and had the crowd jumping before BRMC disappeared into the night. From the young girls singing the words to the album tracks to the industry bods waiting to be impressed BRMC won the Glasgow crowd over. Which leads to the question when would BRMC be coming back to headline their own tour?
