BRMC - Newcastle Uni Jan 2002

I have never seen a Queue as big as the one for this NME tour. It was massive. The gig was full (of kids) to the brim. You could spot the majority of the BRMC fans, They all wre older then 12. After getting the first band out of the way it was time for BRMC.

They kicked off without dissapointing, with a psycadelic feel and some very bright lights all adding to the atmosphere. Second song into the set came there latest single love burns . It sounds great on record and even bertter live. A briiliant set from the guys and totally professional. The patter from them had alot to be desired, but no one was there for that! Half way through the gig came the classic 'whatever happened to my rock'n' roll (punk song)'. By this time they were finding there form and really winning the audience over. Overall this was the best group on the night, looking cool and sounded brilliant.

The only problem with the gig was that they were not on long enough! Next day the album was flying out the shops.
